Anyone has any idea why $3000 to $5000 are being taken from the students to take boards in addition to having to pay for board review outside the colleges? Is there room for reform at the NBCE level?

Because for the longest time, they were simply able to; there has never been, to my knowledge, any oversight regarding this issue. We, as students, pay what we are told to pay; pay what the person before us paid and the person before that paid. (and its always increasing). There's so much room for reform its almost, almost humorous. And lets face it, people outside of the school are making bank on re-teaching us board info, how do you stop a business like that? How do you put a cap on what they charge? Is that fair? All I know is that there is a fundamental idea that is engrained in all of us (students) that its normal to pay as much as we are. Incredible..
And when we graduate our level of involvement stops at commiserating with current students..

This site so far is incredible, i'm absolutely loving the curriculum augmentation

I was under the impression that it was a subset / controlled / in bed with the cce. If the curriculum is agreed on by the schools then the nbce shoud have to test on the subject matter accordingly. It is ridiculous to be tested on physical therapy and their is not one question on basic neurology.
