The Latest Regarding the Recent CCE Meeting

The latest move this past November that was vocally opposed by many in the profession including the 73 organizations within the Da Vinci group was the proposed changes to the Preface of the CCE Standards. Most notably in that statement was the following change:

From: Practice primary health care as a portal-of-entry provider for patients of all ages and genders.

To: Practice primary health care as a portal-of-entry provider for patients of all ages and genders focusing on the inherent ability of the body to heal and enhance function without unnecessary drugs or surgery.

Obviously this gives the green light to the small minority in the profession pushing for prescriptive rights for the “necessary drugs.” From all the early reports, the Preface changes were accepted. A draft signed and assured by some to be only that: a draft. We are unclear why anyone not agreeing with a formal document would sign such a statement, but nonetheless, it appears the document has been accepted as is. Any contrary information will be reported immediately. We expect a formal announcement from CCE any day.
