Movement for Chiropractic Quality and Integrity

Dedicated to Serving the Exceptional Chiropractic Experience

Your continued support keeps the movement alive.

First, we'd like to THANK YOU ALL for your support, donations and for signing the petitions. In less than two weeks we had over 7800 signatures.

On December 12, 2014, MCQI ,along with many DCs, students and chiropractic organizations provided oral comments at the USDE NACIQI/CCE hearing. (For transcripts of Arno Burnier, D.C. and Steve Tullius Oral Comments click here)

In December 2011, CCE had been cited for 43 violations of the Secretary of Education's Criteria for Recognition, one of which was 602.13, dealing with failure to have wide acceptance by the profession. Through CCE's misleading communication and what appeared to be political maneuvering on the part of the CCE and other organizations, this very important violation was overturned by the Assistant Secretary.

Over the last two years the CCE has held "Stakeholders" meetings where any dissenting oral comments were received aggressively with disdain, disrespect and contempt. All opposing oral comments fell on deaf ears, and the process was more for appearances only, which they did indeed portray as a sign of the positive steps they are making.

Following the 2011 hearing, the CCE hired one of the most respected experts in accreditation and did their due diligence in dotting the I's and crossing the T's so as to correct all of its 42 violations.

Despite the compelling testimony of many organizations, students and practitioners requested that CCE be delisted or receive only a year renewal, the CCE received the maximum 3 years re-recognition. However, three members of NACIQI were not in favor of that recommendation and many others abstained from voting. This is amazing considering the situation and the one-sided and extremely unfair playing field. (For more info click unfair playing field)

Much has been accomplished and is on record with the USDE:

  1. An overview of the situation
  2. That a parallel curriculum is needed for any student seeking to learn Chiropractic
  3. That a culture of fear has been created by the CCE
  4. That that several CCE councilors and site team members have major conflicts of interest.
  5. That subluxation has been relegated to a meta-competency and is pushed to the side by the overwhelming amount of content that is not relevant to the practice of chiropractic.
  6. All opposing colleges, the ACA and the CCE had to verbally state that they all subscribe to or "teach" subluxation, even though they do not.

What is very clear is that it will take considerable time, effort and resources to continue to fight this uphill battle.

MCQI is run entirely by DCs who have donated hundreds and hundreds of hours of their own time away from their families and practices. If the ability of our colleges to produce competent chiropractors is important to you and the many generations to come, please do your part and become a monthly contributor. Even $10 to $25 a month can go a long way if we all do our part.

Thank you for your continued support and for staying informed on these very critical developments in the profession.
